Did you know?
Did you know chocolate easter eggs were first made in Europe (France and Germany) in the early 19th century? They were originally solid chocolate eggs as it was quite painstaking to paint chocolate on the moulds to set hollow eggs. This was before the English invented the chocolate bar. Of course the chocolate was dark and bitter with no milk solids – the way it should be!
