Peaches

Peach

Peaches are now in season in Australia their season only lasting a few short months.  Great to be eaten outdoors on hot days as a good peach should be juicy.
They contain good levels of vitamins A and C, potassium, phosphorus, some calcium and magnesium and traces of copper, iron, iodine, manganese, selium, sulfur and zinc.  Does contain some of the B vitamins.
Medicinally they can help with a dry cough and relieves high blood pressure.  Fresh peach can be applied to the face for a “peaches and cream” complexion.  They are ideal for acute gastrointestional inflammations.
Peaches can be eaten as they are, chopped up into fruit salads, eaten with cream!, baked or grilled and cooked into many things plus pureed.  Eating a sweet juicy fuzzy peach can leave you feeling just peachy!  Enjoy!
