Essene Bread

Believed to have originated as the first bread 6,000 years ago it is a bread made with sprouted seeds or grains.  Most are still handmade and are only heated to a maximum of 100C which maintains its nutrients and enzymes.  When wheat or any other seed is sprouted it generally doesn’t produce an allergic reaction.
Enzymes are increased when a grain or legume is spouted as it is a living food, these enzymes can help with digestion and absorption.  Protein, chlorophyll and fibre are increased.  B group vitamins greatly increase some more than ten times, particularly vitamin B2 (riboflavin) and B3 (niacin).  Beta-carotene, Vitamin C, E and K increases too.  Mineral content doesn’t increase as much.
Sprouts and sprouted food are good for weight loss as they provide low-calorie, high-nutrient foods and support improved metabolism.
