Fennel
Fennel
A member of the parsley family, fresh fennel is great eaten raw in salads, tastes amazing roasted or throw into your stirfry or casserole. The bulb is slightly sweet with an aniseed flavour. The leaves are stronger in flavour. Great source of dietary fibre, vitamin C and iron. Has been used for centuries to treat digestive disturbances. Interestingly the majority of fennel cultivated in Australia actually comes from South East Queensland!
