Most people might be scared to try kangaroo meat being part of our national emblem, but they are being farmed for eating, so why not give them a try. The meat is very high in protein and low in saturated fat, has a high amount of Omega 3 essential fatty acids (not just fish), very rich in iron, zinc and B vitamins. So if you are a red meat eater, try kangaroo meat for something different. But it is a cut that needs to be cooked medium or the flavour does change and it becomes hard and chewy due to the low amount of fat.
