Did you know – Chlorophyll
Chlorophyll is part of most plants especially green vegetables! It is the basic component of the plant’s blood just like hemoglobin (iron) is to the human body. But whereas iron is the focal part of our blood, magnesium is at the centre of the chlorophyll molecule which is why most leafy green vegetables are high or have good levels of magnesium!
You can take straight chlorophyll as a liquid extract or it is high in all green leafy vegetables, but specifically high in spirulina, chlorella, kelp, barley grass and wheatgrass.
It helps to get oxygen to all cells, is cleansing while being nutrient dense and has anti-ageing properties.
Love this picture of the leaf showing its “veins”.
